Vishal George

Vishal is a prominent behavioural scientist, breathwork coach, sourdough aficionado and founder of Behavioural by Design. He combines behavioural science with human-centred design and systems thinking to help teams with tools to think like a behavioural scientist.

His wide portfolio of behaviour change work includes encouraging businesses to reduce their carbon footprint (EECA), increasing diversity in recruitment (NZ Police) and improving patient experience across New Zealand (Health Quality & Safety Commission). He has applied behavioural insights into the heart of strategy for the Department of Corrections, Auckland Council, Accident Compensation Corporation, Public Health England (UK), and Westminster Council (UK), Adobe (USA) and Starbucks (USA).

He also chairs the New Zealand Behavioural Science Network — bringing together academia, public sector and private sector to tackle socially relevant issues.
